Flanagan is located in western Livingston County on Il Route 116, 8 miles west of Pontiac.  Flanagan is 35 miles north of Bloomington, 46 miles west of Peoria, 20 miles south of Streator, 35 miles south of Ottawa and 45 miles south of LaSalle-Peru.
Parks and Recreation
Flanagan has two parks, Legion Lake, located on the west side of the village and has a walking trail surrounds it and a park shelter is located on the site. Artesian Park, another small park, is located on the east side of town it has two picnic shelters, a tennis court and playground equipment. The Flanagan Park District has an indoor Olympic size pool attached to the Flanagan Schools.

Flanagan is a great place to live and raise a family with affordable housing and close to I-55 and I-39, shopping, health care and the hospital.  Flanagan has a doctor’s office, grocery store, convenience store, post office, bank, two nursing homes, an implement dealership, used car dealership, antique store and two taverns.
